Mike, Tong, Qi, Meijun, Steven and I met up last week and we had a smashing good time laughing and joking over the dinner table!
It’s a shame that Aven couldn’t join us as he’s gonna be enlisted the next day, and he wants to sleep early!I hope he’d survive well in BMT!
Sandra didn’t join us cuz she was having hip hop lessons. LOLOL!
Ok back to the dinner. We had dinner at Kim’s Cuisine along Liang Seah Street nearer to Beach Road- thanks to Mike and Steven who brought us there cuz the food was really pretty good! (Sorry pictures are damn huge cuz I didn’t bother to resize 😛 )
With $15 per person, we had Hokkien Mee ($12) – the fried pork lard damn shiok I tell u!! Now you all know why I can never lose weight!! We also had some fried you tiaos with sotong paste ($10), my favouritest Gu Lu Yok ($12), Sambal potato leaves ($9), Hotplate Beancurd ($18 ) and a bowl of hot and sour thick soup ($16)
I won’t say that the food is cheap, but since all these are medium sized, I would say they are affordable.. and yummy! We wiped out EVERY SINGLE THING on the table!
Very hungry people.
They charge a lot of miscellaneous stuff like peanuts ($1) and towels ($0.30 each) and even PLAIN WATER ($0.20 per cup) which I think the plain water part is completely bullshit lah.
Afterwhich, we had a little window shopping along Bugis Village and then we headed for a movie!
Ya-daaaaa!!
The movie wasn’t too bad, just that our movie experience was a little marred by the fact that there were these 2… foreigners, I would say they are Philippino, but I won’t be that sure. Peiqi and Meijun couldn’t tell what they were speaking! My goodness! Just probably 5 minutes into the movie, the freaking phone had to ring!!
TECHNO RING TONE SOMEMORE.
So while everyone went with the “Tsk!” and the glare (which would make me damn paiseh btw!), the lady picked up the phone.
“HELLO? YAYAYAYYA JHBVGJHBVSJEFVJETGVHGEGJEKB!!!!!”
God knows what she’s saying but I don’t think I really need to know, right? I’m more interested in what Bo the Panda is speaking!
So while everyone “SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” her, she had the cheek to end her conversation like finally.. and then probably half and hour into the show.. she spoke very loudly, “HAHAHAHAA! VERY FUNNY HOR!?!”
And you know, it’s completely okay if she had said it in a really funny part. The thing is, that part wasn’t even a punchline!!! It was just Bo standing under the peach tree feeling very sorry that his master didn’t recognise him as a Dragon Warrior.
Like.. what’s so funny ah?
And then the next thing we knew, the lights of the cinema came on. We were all bewildered because.. obviously the movie hasn’t finished!
We sat down there for a good whole 5 to 10 minutes, before the movie resumed again. Haiyo!!
And of course, we took LOADS of pictures!
HAHAHAHA! See my constipated face while I thought I wasn’t pressing on the shutter hard enough.
Ok now we have a decent photo!
I really, really, really don’t want to post this picture up, but since I told my classmates I’d post everything (everything!? Like why the hell would I say EVERYTHING when I didn’t even browse through all the pictures!?) up, so.. yeah.
Ugly Steven.
I told him to behave like Prince Caspian on the throne, but look at him! He looks like AH BENG more than PRINCE lor!
Let’s arrange an outing every other month okokok!
Love,
Jac
